Why I’m Changing Everything About My Online Presence, and No, I’m not Rebranding.

I haven’t written here for awhile, but I was updating some info and I thought, what the heck, maybe I’ll provide a little explanation. I’m making some sweeping changes to my online presence and persona.

No. I’m not rebranding. I hate that term. I started blogging in 2011 and I’ve tried rebranding a handful of times. I’m not a product. This time is different.

I’m letting go of any preconceptions of attempting to become more known to the world. Instead, I’m becoming who I truly am, and who I always was before the Internet turned us into a bunch of rock star wannabes.

It all started a few months ago as I continue my journey to keep life more simple. My old daily routine included sharing posts from one or more of my four blogs, danerickson.net, cowboyzen.net, anderhillmusic.com, and hipdiggs.com, to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.

Excuse me, but how the hell is that simple? I know that’s what all the cool minimalists do, but it’s not really minimalist. Besides, I gave up on that game, minimalism as a lifestyle is nothing more than a secular religion.

True minimalism is an artform.
